As most already know, the Colletotrichum graminicola genome is being sequenced at the Broad Institute.  We’ll use this page to keep you up to date as to the status of the genome sequencing as well as to any other genome resources that become available.
Status of the
C. graminicola sequencing project:
  • Shotgun genome sequencing: Sequencing is complete and an initial release of the assembly has been made by the Broad Institute.  We anticipate that the annotation of the genome will be complete by the end of the year.  The genome browser and other resources are available on the Broad Institute website.  The unassembled reads can be found in the NCBI trace archive.
  • EST Sequencing: EST library preparation and sequencing are currently underway at the University of Kentucky.
  • Comparative genomics website: A database for comparative analysis of gene families is under development at the University of Salamanca, in collaboration with Texas A&M University.
